Teratomas are congentical tumors that can possess hair, teeth, and complex organs such as eyes. These tumors usually possess all three embryonic germ layers. They are classified as nonseminomatous germ cell tumors (NSGCTs), tumors that arise from the abnormal development of pluripotent stem cells - germal and embryonal.
Teratomas deriving from germ cells occur in the gonads (testes and ovaries), and those deriving from embryonic tissues develop in a myriad of locations, but usually not organs such as the heart or liver. A mature teratoma may develop into a fetiform teratoma. This type of tumor resembles a malformed fetus, but does not illustrate a vertebral column and bilateral symmetry such as in the case of a “fetus in fetu.” The nature of the origin of both fetiform teratomas and fetus in fetu’s undoubtedly raise questions as to whether the tumors can be embryonically classified as fetuses.
Note: teratoma - ‘monstrous tumor.’

You deserve to smile, and this blog will help you get what you deserve.
Not so fast. Google searches indicate a high probability of Phishers. Do not attempt to approach this website. Unless this was a finely made photoshop, in which case, herpderp.

I found this man on 7th Avenue in Park Slope. He was leaning heavily on his cane, looking down, wearing a grimaced face. I felt bad for him, so I smiled and waved when I walked past. His face changed completely. He lit up, smiled wide, and gave me a cheery greeting. There was nothing forced about it. He seemed like a man who went through life looking for the smallest excuses to be happy.
I walked 50 feet down the sidewalk, turned around, and walked back to him. “I want to take your photo,” I told him, “because of how big you smiled when I walked by.”
He said: “Well I saw someone smiling at me who I didn’t even know. So I thought: ‘By God! I Better do something!’”ugh i always reblog this when i see it because it just makes me so happy

Who the fuck cares.

Brave is probably one of my favorite movies now. It was absolutely beautiful. I’m confused why people are speculating about her sexuality and not focusing on the amazing story.
Who cares? She’s Nordic and kicks ass.

Lonesome George is dead. Since being discovered more than forty years ago, he has been the last of his kind, the Pinta Island tortoise. With him, his species dies. Someone on reddit made this comparison of the Wikipedia page for the Pinta Island tortoise. How did we screw George’s species over? First 19th century whalers killed off a bunch for food on their journeys, then in 1959, fishermen introduced goats to the island. The goat population exploded to over 40,000 in just a few years, and the vegetation on the island was seriously harmed. The goats have since been exterminated and a project is underway to restore the Pinta island ecosystem and reintroduce tortoises to the island, but it didn’t come soon enough to save George’s species.
This is so horrible. When I get my poor George tat, I wanted to include the little ‘extinct’ label underneath. Because to me that is the final, and it is tragically important :’(
